Endangered Species: Artists On The Frontline of Biodiversity

Recently, and to my delight, I found myself courted by Bellingham's Lightcatcher Museum Gift Shop!

Lightcatcher is gearing up for a new exhibit:  Endangered Species: Artists On The Frontline Of Biodiversity  An impressive international collection of 52 artists will be on display until January. Many arts organizations within the community are collaborating on the above theme and are having openings.

While my work is not exactly vested in the theme of endangered species -- some of the work does parallel. Add that I am local and unique in what i have to offer. I was pleased to give it a shot. In preparing to share my portfolio I pulled collages from my 2017/18 daily journals.  As it happened my collages fell into three categories: trees, floral and the one eye series. Those are what I brought in for review. The museum gift shop purchaser enthusiastically selected 41 pieces!

2 are older works, up-cycled with machine stitching (a new element to my collage work). A larger piece is very current. Also stitched. Those three are framed. Unframed collage art is available. I am so excited! The museum store is beautiful and has many many lovely high quality items for sale!!
