I have always enjoyed how color is part of the month to month or season to season palette of life. How orange in the fall has tremendous meaning somehow and then once we get past Thanksgiving we want nothing to do with it and we are onto red and green. I realize that nature is marketing to us on one level and that the market and consumerism is also what fuels our affection for color. I know for me in the doldrums of the winter months I am very happy to see pinks and reds. The heart for me offers hope and also reminds me of those I have deep affection for. I thought i'd do a color series just for fun. I will admit I cheated, and didn't do a daily expose, more so I mostly went on a shoot to my new favorite antique store and just played. I'd recommend the creative exploration to anyone - it's really fun.
Photography = a never ending opportunity to capture visual celebrations.
