In the midst of my move.

Yes, I have moved again!

I decided to submit to a call specifically for collage art and lo and behold I was accepted!! Rather exciting news in the midst of a super hectic time.  I chose to submit three very current pieces from my journal, highlighting a time of angst and transition.  The solace I find in tearing and assembly is very cathartic.

Curated by Artist Patricia Ann Wilson

The show is held at Daniel Smith Artist Materials 4150 First Ave S in Seattle

It opens March 14th.

Opening reception is March 24th from 6-8

Closing reception is April 21st from 6-8

A portion of the proceeds collage sales are for an Art Program For The Homeless

I was very challenged financially in sending these. I had to do it inexpensively. I wanted to find a way to package the collage, have it ready for sale and additionally have it suitable for hanging. I ended up using hard board and clear sleeves for the originals - with a hand written note in each. All that was taped to a nice matt.  I then used these cloth hanging strips to provide a way to hang it. Rather ingenious if I do say so myself. I had one heck of a time finding my supplies, the whole assembly felt like a comedy of errors, the circles I ran around myself. Anyway, I did get it into the mail and even had it arrive on time.

I am a solid two hours from Seattle, I am planning to attend the closing reception.

Collage Titles:
